Nothing To Do with Soap!

Hey All!

I just wanted to share a few projects I've been working on lately (and they have nothing to do with soap!).

First, I seem to always be searching high and low for a piece of paper to make my grocery, shopping, gardening, etc. lists.  So I decided to create my own fun, colorful, simple, lined notebooks.

I love the 7.5" x 9.25" size, so most of my notebooks are that size.  And some are 6" x 9", too.  All of these notebooks have 120 pages of lined paper.

Recipe for Lemongrass + Calendula Soap

This is one of my all-time FAVORITE soaps to make (and sniff!).

Lemongrass essential oil has antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.  Plus, it smells ah-mazing!

You can order lemongrass essential oil from a variety of shops online or in retail stores.  But my go-to's for a good quality oil are:  

  • Brambleberry
  • Wholesale Supplies Plus
  • New Directions Aromatics

And for dried calendula petals, I like to buy from Amazon here.

RECIPE:

10 oz. Coconut Oil

10 oz. Palm Oil

10 oz. Canola Oil

2 oz. Shea Butter

4.65 oz. Lye (Sodium Hydroxide)

10.55 oz. Water

1 oz. Lemongrass Essential Oil

Small handful of Calendula petals

Welcome to Fall, Y'All!

So sorry I haven't posted in awhile (ok...in forever).  I've been super busy putting together a nostalgic, feel-good set of quality gifts for this year's holiday season.
